Here's a reference for what we are doing in 2024:

Come join us for five days and four nights of fiction writing, yoga, delicious food, live piano music, wine, and workshops in beautiful Carmel Valley, California! This year, we are excited to offer two sessions!  

Writing can be a very solitary process. We understand. That’s why we created the Northern California Writers’ Retreat. By the time you leave our sanctuary in Carmel Valley, California, you will feel as though you are a part of a vibrant community of promising fiction writers with serious publishing ambitions.  

WHEN and WHO:

Session 1: April 3rd-7th, 2024, featuring Author-in-Residence Zakiya Dalila Harris and Guest Agents Jill Marr from the Dijkstra Agency, and Stephanie Delman from Trellis Literary.

Session 2: April 17th-21st, 2024, featuring Author-in-Residence Chloe Benjamin and Guest Agents Felice Laverne from ArtHouse Literary, and Amanda Orozco from Transatlantic Literary.        And your host for both sessions, former "Big Five" editor and current Independent Editor, Heather Lazare
